I had a project in my eighth grade art class in which I rendered my name using a variety of type styles. I remember the pleasure I took in keeping my pencil sharp, my paper clean, and the letterforms utterly consistent. My teacher presented me with the achievement award for art at the end of that year, and though I didn’t realize it at the time, that was my introduction to graphic design.
After college, I completed illustration and design classes at New York's School of Visual Arts. Since then, thirteen years of experience designing marketing collateral and graphics, mainly for high-tech clients, have honed my skills in communicating complex ideas with simple and creative solutions.
Though my pencils and paper have been replaced (for the most part) with a mouse and monitor, I love the challenge of creating a smart logo, custom lettering, or a precision illustration. My focus on these disciplines leverages my strengths and allows me to best serve my customers.
